What now?

I know some of you are wondering what you’re gonna do with your Sunday morning if the Sunday Runs are over. Well, not too fast! A few of us still have races in the near future so we’ll still be meeting at  Brueggers at 8AM for some long runs for a few more weeks. This week I’m planning on running the Horn Pond route. All I need to do is find the map…. its around here somewhere…. I’ll post a link in this message later.

HORN POND ROUTE MAP

To do this run we’ll need a water stop near the overpass of I-93 in Winchester and another in the parking lot of the pond. The supplies are spread around, Lois and Sue each have a bin, as do I. Let’s figure out how we’ll do the stops and who’s running and go from there.

One last good luck to everyone running Baystate. Catherine, Kelly, Dave, Carol, Jennifer (and her sister), Linda, Eve all trained along with us for all or some of the last few months. MRC VP Katie Sinnott will also be running. Joe Terranova, who likes to follow along with us at home, will be doing the half. Also doing the half is Rick Collette who has helped us out with water stops a few times over the last few months. For those that remember them, ex-MRCers Lauren Reid and Leanne Tierney will be running the marathon as well. That’s everyone I can think of, am I forgetting anyone?

    Hi Jim,
I can do the water stop at horn pond. I live in woburn, so I can leave my car that the pond and get a ride to Brueggers and then run back. I can pick up the supplies tomorrrow. Let me know where.

    Hey Jim,

If I’m thinking of the same route as you, it was around 14.1 (a good run for me!) I can leave my car at the first water stop. I’ll finish there which should give me around 10 1/2 miles or so. Can someone pick me up there so I can start at Brueggers?

  3. Julie D'Andrea says:

I’d like to do 12 slow miles. Can volunteer to help for anything, but can’t stick around for coffee.

  4. Nancy says:

I plan to go along with Sue, and I can pick her up at ws1 to meet the group at Brueggers. I’ll call Sue to verify.

I’ll be there tomorrow. I’m feeling I need another longer run before next weeks 1/2, plus I’ve missed the company of the sunday long runners the last few weeks. Sue, if you don’t mind a stinky passenger, can I get a ride back with you at 10+? See you in the a.m.

  6. Sue Clough says:

I can give anyone who needs a ride back, stinky and all.

  7. Kaj Kandler says:

I’ll be doing some pre-running. I’ll start at 6:45 and do an extra 6 or so.

    See you tomorrow morning.

  8. Jim says:

Jo-Ann, I’ll pick you up at Horn Pond around 7:40. I’ll bring all the water stop supplies.

See you all in the morning,
    Jim

  9. Jo-Ann says:

OK. I’ll see you at the pond at 7:40.

  10. Lois Parker Carmona says:

I’m psyched for the Horn Pond route! Nancy and Sue – I could easily pick up Sue on my way in. I also have some ws stuff in my car, not much of it, but I could add it to the bin in Sue’s car.

I’ll check in again in the morning and see if I should get Sue.

It looks like it will be a late night but I plan on being there. I probably have about 6 miles of pacing in so far and it is only the 6th inning.
