Week 3 – Lake Q Roll Call

Hey everyone, this week we take a step back from last week’s mileage and last week’s heat, and in the process let our bodies recover a little before pushing foreward again. At this point the forecast points to potential rain but cool temps. Up to Lake Quannapowitt and back for 10.7 miles for the long group and 6.2 for the not-as-long group. Walt will be handling the water stop so I think we’re all set there. I know a bunch of people headed to Rhode Island to run the Blessing of the Fleet so we won’t have our full crowd again this week. Let me know who’s in so we can plan to have enough gatorade and water this week (unlike last week).

See you Sunday, 8AM, Brueggers!

I’m in as noted.. for 17… just in case anyone wants to do more than 10.5, am starting at the wstop at 730 AM, arriving Brueggers 8A (roughly 9:30 /mi),..which gives 13.5, Later, wd

    Walt-
Where will your water stop meeting spot be and what time would I need to be there to meet you to run to Bruegger’s? I debating whether to do the 10.7 or try for 14 with you. I am running Newburyport 10M with my sister Tuesday night….she is shooting for 8 min. pace so…need to think on it. Gotta make sure these low-mileage legs can handle it!

I’m in. Hopefully, it will be slightly cooler this week; it takes me a while to acclimate to the heat! Will miss the group doing the blessing of the fleet. Hope it was a good race!

For those that might want to start early with Walt or start later from there and do the loop of the pond with us for a 4.5 mile run, the location of the water stop will be at the corner of Nahant and Main St in Wakefield. As you head to the lake along Main St, on the right side, just after the Dunkin Donut’s parking lot, across from Jiffy Lube.

I think I am going to run on my own tomorrow. I want to try to do a little faster pace, maybe a few pick-ups since it’s a short week. Have a great run! I hope to join you for next week. Jennifer
