Join the Saugus Family YMCA for their 7th Annual Not a Walk in the Park 5K!

This 5k race will take you through the beautiful scenery of Breakheart Reservation! A place near and dear to all Melrose Running Club members!

All proceeds benefit the Saugus Family YMCA’s Annual Fund which ensures no one in the community is turned away for inability to pay. In 2017 the YMCA of Metro North provided more than one million dollars in financial aid providing all children, adults and families with opportunities to develop a healthy spirit, mind and body regardless of income.

Not A Walk in the Park 5K details and schedule

Location: Breakheart Reservation – 177 Forest St. Saugus, MA

Race Day Registration and bib pick-up begin at 7:30 AM

Registration is $25 for 18+ and $12 for 17 and under, $30 and $15 respectively after April 6th and on Race Day.

Race Start time is 9:00 AM

Not A Walk in the Park 5K Features:

-Electronic Timing
-Post race refreshments
-Awards to the top finishers in each age group
-T-shirt provided to those who register prior to April 7, 2018.

The Malden Rotary Road Race 5K and 10K are on Saturday March 24th. The 10K starts at 9:30 and the 5K starts at 10:00 AM.

Contrary to popular belief, the race is put on by The Rotary, you don’t have to run around one!

The 10K is $30 and the 5K is $25 plus minimal processing fees.

Be sure to register under Melrose Running Club and be sure to wear some purple! Group photos will be taken!

The race starts at Monsignor Foley Hall, (Chevrus School) Ferry Street, Malden, MA.

This is a local Saturday race and a nice warm up for the Sunday Long Runners  22 mile run from Hopkinton the next day.
